Microsoft has finally confirmed that they are developing an iPod competitor, and that the unit will contain Wi-Fi functionality.

Marketing the device under the "Zune" brand, the device aims to duplicate the iPod's success, and should be available by Christmas. J. Allard, vice president of Microsoft's Xbox team, is working heavily on the project, which is leading some to speculate the device could play games as well.

http://www.digg.com Had a good article on it. It sounds like all those Zend and what not cheap rip offs that try to emulate the iPod sans success. I think I'll stick to my Nano, if the Zune is anything like Windows it'll have the stability of Uranium Isotopes. Sigh... The sadness of a Monopoly.
